Dr. Mon is passionate about providing warm, empathetic, and effective care to optimize your mental health. She believes that the best mental health outcomes are achieved through partnerships between patients and the physician and she looks forward to providing your optimal individualized care.
Dr. Mon currently holds an affiliate faculty position at UT Austin’s Dell Medical School, Department of Psychiatry, where she supervises and mentors psychiatry residents. She received M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and completed her residency at the esteemed Washington University (Barnes-Jewish Hospital) in 2014. She co-authored several clinical treatment publications during residency. Following residency, Dr. Mon has worked in a variety of clinical settings such as inpatient psychiatry, emergency psychiatry, consultation liaison psychiatry, and outpatient psychiatry.
Dr. Mon provides psychopharmacology and psychotherapy services for patients in Austin, Texas. She is board-certified in Adult Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She has extensive expertise in multiple areas of psychiatry including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety disorders, mood disorders (e.g. depression, bipolar disorder), obsessive-compulsive disorders, psychosis, and phobic disorders.
